It’s been awhile since the last newsletter. Hopefully every one can get up to speed with what has been going on. We have several new members, both here in Marquette and in Escanaba as well. Updated rosters will be available at the next PC Saturday meeting.
Think it’s safe to say that PC camp was a success. A good time was had by all! Thanks to Lynn Moon for all her efforts and especially for arranging for us to be at the fair grounds. Thanks also to Molly Carmody for getting the club shirts, to Liisa Snowdon for putting together the notebooks, to Kelly, Molly, Sarah for their efforts, to all the parents who brought food and spent time helping out. And of course, thanks to Luanne for keeping it all together.
To Lori and Robert Mott, and to Ford Dodge Animal Health for their generous contributions to Superior Pony Club. Each donated $300.00! Thanks also to Gail Hoholik , who made the contacts to make these gifts possible.THANKS!
HURRAY $5,000 was awarded to the Superior Pony Club for a Therapeutic Riding Program. Thanks to the efforts of Julie Schorr and Patti Hogan for writing the grant and following through. Excellent work on their part. Our first efforts for this program will be in association with Bay Cliff Health Camp. Several children from camp will be participating during the month of July. There are opportunities for you to be involved. Your time and talents are needed. Dates follow.
July 5 Wednesday 6:00 – Willow Farm tack cleaning party. This is one of those afore mentioned opportunities! Please come help to clean up equipment to be used for the Therapeutic Riding Program. Many hands make light work; it shouldn’t take too long. SNACKS will be provided.
July 6th Thursday 10:00 - 1:00 Therapeutic Riding Program. All Pcers are invited to the social from 12:00 – 1:00 at Willow Farm (another opportunity!) Come share your love of horses with these kids who have had little or no exposure to our wonderful four legged friends.
July 8 PC Saturday Willow Farm Call Carol Smith by Wednesday July 5th to let us know if you’ll be there. Bring your notebooks and wear your shirts! PARENT MEETING AT 6:OO
